Why are you qualified to write a book?

I have been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years.  I have worked for more than a dozen restaurant companies and trained well over 100 servers.  I founded The Hospitality Formula Network which is comprised of six hospitality related blogs.  Four of these blogs were recently listed in the top 60 restaurant industry blogs, including two in the top ten.  I was also voted “Best Server” in the “2010 Best of Kansas City” awards from The Pitch Weekly.

In 2008, I began working on the outline for this book.  Over the last three years I have specifically tested, tweaked, and retested each of the techniques in this book.  This book is a compilation of the best techniques I have developed and observed used by many outstanding servers.  The sales techniques are based on studying the materials of the best sales trainers in the country, but specifically engineered to work in restaurants.  This book is based on experience, research, and controlled experiments to provide you with the best information available on the subject of improving your tips.
